Okay, because I’ve been babbling about it on the group, and because some of you have asked (okay, one of you, but still….) I’m going to take a moment out of the story and show the newly renovated Lakeside Manor, home of the Petras family, even though our storyline is nowhere near that point yet, lol.
This is the original house layout:
Sorry, I only had night-shots on file. The second floor was basically 2 big rooms and a hallway under a mansard roof, so no windows, plus stairs to the rooftop. My sims tended to use the main bathroom on the 1st floor like a hallway, which made for problems when someone was trying to use it just when school let out.
And this is what it looks like when you take all your sims’ stuff out of the house and put it in the backyard. lol
Couldn’t resist. The foundation you’re seeing in the background is the lower level of the family crypt.
Here’s the new house in all its glory.
That second floor shot is from the backyard.
So there you have it. Bets on how long until I get sick of it again?

Hey! That’s pretty freakin’ neat! :O)) I like it. Loved the family crypt thing, and love how you have the house built into the hill like that. :O) What’s that little building in the back?

The little building in the back IS the family crypt, lol.

That is a really cool house! I’m impressed how you have it built on the hill - I still can’t do that. I have to flatten all the land out first LOL The crypt is a nice touch.

I think your new house is cool too.

Really cool house. You are making me want to go experiment with basements now. I tried to make one when the game first came out and it didn’t do right, but I want one, so after I finish your blog, I’ll go try.
