After hearing horror stories about her mother’s first pregnancy, Beverly was relieved to find it relatively easy. She still had morning sickness, and ate like a horse, but she had plenty of energy to go visiting friends or spend a night out on the town. Things seemed to be sailing along smoothly.

Then, late in her third trimester, something went wrong. Bev suddenly found herself in terrible pain – and not labor pains, either.

She was rushed to the hospital immediately.

Within a few hours, though, the ER doctor had given Dorian and her parents the bittersweet news. They had saved Beverly’s life, but they had lost the baby.

Nothing daunted, the ever-resilient Beverly tried again, as soon as her doctor gave her the all-clear. She grieved for her lost little one, naturally, but as she’d learned from the loss of her twin, life did go on. This time she stayed closer to home, though, just in case.

Dorian was extremely supportive of her, as he had been before, and the two of them began to plan once more for the arrival of their first child.

Unfortunately, the day came when she felt those horribly wrong pains again. Once more the cycle was repeated of ambulance, hospital,…and loss.

Something was wrong, that much was sure. Bev and Dorian found themselves visiting the best fertility specialists, pre-natal experts, vampirologists, and geneticists.

Even herbalists and acupuncture experts – anyone who could help them figure out what was happening and how to fix it.

One day, Beverly awoke to find herself with that familiar bump in the front once more. Was she ready this time? She wondered, and worried.

This time, they were taking no chances. Beverly embarked on a strict regimen of the best and healthiest foods, along with vitamins and mineral supplements.

She practiced at least an hour of meditation each day.

And she abstained from any excess physical activity. She and Dorian were determined to make this pregnancy work.

But as the day of the birth grew closer and closer, Beverly couldn’t help but fear for her unborn child. Would the next round of pains bring new life into the household, or simply more loss?

Custom Content: I think most everything has been mentioned once or twice before. The bookcase in the doctor’s office is the same one that Beatrice has at her ‘castle’. The hospital gown is from xxbethany275xx’s "LONGER Hospital Gowns" set at MTS2.

All staged shots were done off-lot.
