The magic was gone, or at least fading. Brad knew that high-school couples rarely tend to last in college, but he’d hoped that this time would be different. He could tell, though, that the two of them were starting to drift apart.

With Lakeside Manor filling rather rapidly, and more little Petras kids on the way, Belle decided to move on to college, herself. She found herself assigned to her sister Barbara’s dorm, and she was relieved to see a familiar face amongst the strange newness that was college.

Back at Greenhaven U., Brighid had graduated with a degree in Art. She moved back to the family homestead just long enough to drop off Bethany’s childhood bed, which she had unthinkingly brought with her to college. Unfortunately, this did nothing to appease Beth’s angry ghost.

In the interest of actually keeping this blog somewhat up to date, I’ve decided to focus on the story of my heir, and ignore the other various plotlines unless something really interesting happens. I’ll occasionally throw in quick update entries like this one to catch people up with the rest of the Petras clan, but from now on we’ll follow the story of Beverly’s life. And so…

Brad quickly followed Ben to college, bringing another $7,750 in scholarships with him. Quieter and shyer than his brother, Knowledge Sim Brad chose the smallest residence hall on campus, the 5-room Jefferson Dorm, to live with boyfriend Ricky Cormier. Although he wasn’t certain what he wanted to study at first, he decided on a Physics major as the best way to reach his goal to max out all his skills. Ricky, meanwhile, chose Drama as his major.

Fifth child Benjamin arrived at GHU with $7,750 worth of scholarships. A Popularity Sim, he moved into the biggest dorm on campus, Franklin. With an aspiration to be Mayor some day, Ben quickly declared for the Political Science Major. Also sharing his dorm was his older brother Brandon’s ex-girlfriend, Nicole Thompson. Ben was glad to have a familiar face from school there with him.

Beverly found she had no trouble at all adjusting to her new lifestyle, and enjoyed snoozing the day away in the basement. Living in the Oresha Cham House made it easy to keep her grades up despite having to miss class, because there was always an eager pledge or two willing to do assignments and term papers. Strangely, though, her fellow greek house members seemed reluctant to move in after their pledge periods were over.

Brighid arrived at Greenhaven University with only $5,250 in scholarships to start her out. She was an outgoing, playful young woman, but far lazier than her older sister Beverly. She wasn’t much for working hard at anything, unless it was attracting boys.

As Beverly started her second semester at GHU, she found herself a little bored with life in the dorms. With the grant for her A+ grades on top of the money she already had, plus her popularity and influence, she felt the time had come to build Greenhaven University’s first Greek House. She found a large, neoclassical-style building that was just perfect, or would be with some redecorating, and quickly pulled enough strings to not only rent it, but to get a charter as a member of the newest chapter of Oresha Cham.

Greenhaven University is a small, but growing institution just outside of the town of Greenhaven. Newly constructed, it doesn’t even have a single Greek house established yet, although there are rumors of a secret society hidden somewhere on campus.
